We are grateful to be back racing, either in club events or regattas. In this newsletter you will see links to "wrap-up" articles for the Queensland States, the Metung One Design Regatta, The Milson’s Goblets and the Bill Steele Regatta – a great time was had by all!

We have a lot to look forward to as well.

  • Next weekend from 18-20 Feb is the NSW State Championship - Regatta info
  • The Nationals are at Metung from 2-6 March - Regatta info
  • The following weekend are VIC States in Geelong from 11-14 March - Regatta info

There will be two events this year for those able to travel north in May/ June – planning is well underway for a Queensland Carnevale of sailing with two regattas.

  • The first will be the Gold Coast Championships with six races hosted by Southport Yacht Club over the weekend of 28/29 May 2022, the NOR will be available soon. This will be the lead up regatta for the mid winters at Mooloolaba in June. Contact Wayne Kirby for further details
  • The second regatta will be the Mooloolaba Australasian Championship comprising nine races over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend of 10/11/12 June 2022 hosted by Mooloolaba Yacht Club. Contact Gary Schulz for further details.

Lastly, just pointing out the opportunity to catch up with the One Design Project team by Zoom this coming Wednesday 6:00 pm. Here is a link with the details.

Regatta wraps

The Qld State Titles went ahead in December though COVID restrictions prevented boats attending from interstate
Metung hosted a very successful one design regatta in January

The Sydney Fleet was very pleased with their annual Milson’s Goblets twilights
The Swan River Fleet enjoyed the Bill Steele regatta last week
